CRU Leadership (C6)

Leadership Team Director:  Dan Didriksen   (dandidriksenccc@gmail.com)

Oversees the Leadership Team in line with the general direction of the ministry, that our goals to Encounter God, Experience Life, and Express Love are lived out in a healthy, consistent manner.  The Leadership Team Director’s main responsibility is to shepherd the team of leaders beneath him, so that the team can shepherd and lead the ministry well.  
Oversees making sure that the ministry is balanced (one area doesn’t overtake all others), looking at the overall year calendar, challenging leaders who are not leading well, encouraging leaders, pressing the ministry to grow and reach the lost, helping leaders develop teams and future leaders to replace themselves, etc.

 

CRU Weekly Meeting:  David Brooks  (drb0006@uah.edu)

The Overall Purpose:  The CRU Weekly meeting is the gathering of students involved in community from around UAH, Calhoun, Athens State, and the Huntsville community.  CRU gathers for the purpose of community, worship, Biblical teaching, and vision.  CRU celebrates how God is working through students to change lives and reach the campus.

Oversees the CRU Planning Team, all things related to the weekly meeting, including worship, technical, room locations, planning, etc.

Small Groups:   Jorge Cacciatore  (jlc0009@uah.edu) and Jared Neal  (jdneal17@gmail.com)

The overall purpose is to:


●       develop biblical community and the spiritual growth and expansion of the Gospel through small groups in target areas and/or sphere’s of influence.

●      The replication and development of future leaders through discipleship. (multiplication)

 

Oversees Bible Study leaders, encouraging, resourcing, and serving student leaders to lead studies and teach students.  Our goal is to train and enable students to teach and model Christ wherever God has them.  Some studies will be highly strategic (ie: Freshman study or Charger Village study), while others may be more organic (ie: Bill’s friends from high school, Concrete canoe BS)

 The overall purpose of this role is to encourage students to engage in opportunities to grow spiritually and cultivate a mindset to “GO”.

 Organizes and delegates teams to promote:

●      Fall Retreats, Summer Projects, Freshmen Move-in, Spring Break opportunities, ACC,  other retreats/overnights, campus-wide outreaches, EA partnership things.


Student/Campus Involvement:   Karl Sorells  (kms0049@uah.edu)

Overall purpose is to help build a God-centered community within CRU and expand through service and involvement to the campus around us.

Two key areas:

●      Within CRU: giving opportunities for students to build friendships, enjoy one another.

●      Connecting CRU to the Campus:  engaging CRU in the lives and community fabric of the campus. 

Organizes student involvement in campus activities (like intramurals, campus events, sports, Lincoln Village, etc) as well as CRU opportunities to promote the ministry (freshmen orientations, new student visits, etc)

●      Intramurals:   Derek Williamson

●      Freshman Orientations:  (someone who will be around during summers)


Communications:   vacant   ()

Goal is to help facilitate communications and simplify organizational systems. 

●      CRU: help students to know how to connect in small groups, get involved, know about current events, etc.

●      Campus:  using media to help engage the campus with the hope of Christ and the vision of CRU.

●      Community:  using media to help engage the community with the hope of Christ and the vision of CRU.  (non-students, parents, churches, supporters, etc)

Organizes CRU communications, including website, email systems, announcements, Facebook presence, advertising, twitter, as well as helping students find who to talk to and have an overall favorable experience connecting to CRU.

Dan is the Campus Director at UAH.  He has been on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ for WAY to long (around 16 years, but he ran out of fingers to count on).  He and Amy were married in April of 2010!  Amy teaches 1st grade.   

 

Alice Hamilton

Alice is currently raising her finacial support to join the staff team at UAH.  She is a graduate of Auburn University, was involved and an intern in Auburn Christian Fellowship, where she met and married her husband Michael.
